1. Classification and Uses of Loaders XCMG
Commonly XCMG used single-bucket loaders are classified according to engine power, transmission type, running gear structure, and loading method.

(1)Engine Power:
① Engine power less than 74kw: Small loader.
② Engine power between 74 and 147kw: Medium loader.
③ Engine power between 147 and 515kw: Large loader.
④ Engine power greater than 515kw: Extra-large loader.
(2) Transmission Type:
① Hydraulic-mechanical transmission: Low impact and vibration, long service life of transmission components, easy operation, automatic adjustment between vehicle speed and load; generally used in medium and large loaders.
② Hydraulic transmission: Stepless speed regulation, easy operation, but poor starting performance; generally used only in small loaders.
③ Electric transmission: Stepless speed regulation, reliable operation, simple maintenance, higher cost; generally used in large loaders.
(3)XCMG Running Gear Structure:

① Tire-mounted: Lightweight, fast, maneuverable, efficient, less prone to damaging road surfaces, high ground pressure, poor passability, but widely used;
② Tracked: Low ground pressure, good passability, low center of gravity, good stability, strong adhesion, high traction, high specific cutting force, low speed, relatively poor maneuverability, high cost, prone to damaging road surfaces during movement.
(4) Loading and unloading methods:
① Front-discharge type: Simple structure, reliable operation, good visibility, suitable for various work sites, widely used;
② Rotary type: The working device is mounted on a turntable that can rotate 360 degrees; side unloading does not require turning around, high operating efficiency, but complex structure, large weight, high cost, and poor side stability; suitable for smaller sites.
③ Rear-discharge type: Front loading, rear unloading, high operating efficiency, poor operating safety.
2. Loader model selection principles:
(1)Model Selection: The selection and determination are mainly based on the work location and purpose. Generally, for operations in quarries and soft soil areas, tire loaders equipped with anti-skid chains are preferred.
(2) Power Selection: Construction machinery diesel engines are generally used. For operations in special areas, such as altitudes above 3000m, special high-altitude diesel engines should be used.
(3)Transmission Type Selection: Hydraulic-mechanical transmission is generally preferred. A key component is the torque converter type. Loaders manufactured in China often use dual-turbine, single-stage two-phase hydraulic torque converters.
(4) When selecting a loader, the braking performance of the loader must be fully considered, including multiple braking systems: parking brake, emergency brake, and brakes. Brakes come in three types: shoe brake, caliper disc brake, and wet multi-disc brake. The drive mechanism of the brake generally uses a force-adding device, with power sources including compressed air, air-to-hydraulic, and hydraulic. Air-to-hydraulic braking systems are commonly used, and dual-circuit braking systems are generally adopted to improve driving safety.
